(no not really).  A Tale Dark and Grimm is innocently yet wholehearted about the coming of age for Hansel and Gretel.  Their story unfolds in tragic and unbelievable feats of the authors imagination.  The face evil men, women, dragons, parents and even the evil within themselves and ultimately come through the other side - TRIUMPHANT and AT PEACE.  Meta - fiction aspect of this book is that it presents the aspect of trust and the reflection and wisdom that can come from trusting oneself.   I loved this book!  Why did Gretel have to lose a finger though...
