This book is difficult to read.  It is disjointed much like Loa is, as she tries to navigate through the death of her sister Asta and her friend Esther Loa struggles.  The is no resolution at the end of this book but there is the inkling that maybe Loa is beginning to accept that not everyone is trying to hurt her.  Meta fiction aspects of this book - how does one cope with death and life after death?  How do you cope with guilt and a reality that is bleak and dark?  No one can answer those questions but you.
