Interrupting Chicken

Wonderful!!!!  This book reminded me of my son and daughter.  My son always loved interrupting the story we were reading to interject or finish it or just to say something.  My daughter loves to interject as though she were the character herself.  That is this book in essence.  This little chicken becomes the story that his father is reading to him.  The excitement and anticipation is beautiful to see.  Meta fiction aspects of this book is the other worlds that books can carry the reader to.  Books open up new experiences that can seem so real it is as though you are there.  This is what reading should be like.
