Beginning of the Book Blog

Welcome to my blog!  I read way more than I think is normal but in my opinion normal is way overrated.  So I continue to read as though my life depended on it, and in all honesty I think sometimes it does.  I am also a librarian. LIBRARIAN!  This really is my dream job.  I am surrounded by books every single day, all day - all you readers out there understand me.  I sometimes grumble about grumpy students and grumpy adults, but underneath it all I have the opportunity to share my love for reading.  Books are so much more than about reading.  It's the excitement of talking about how amazing the book was, groaning over the cliffhanger ending (and realizing you have to wait a year for the next book), squealing over the budding romances and crying over broken hearts.  Books take us outside of ourselves and I love that.  I will be posting here and there about new books I've read or books my students recommend. Hopefully our excitement for reading will spread!
